Gregorian Variations

This is a live improvisational interactive work presented at the USENIX Conference, Nashville. The piece showcase the interactive nature of the NeXT Music Kit software. The violinists' Gregorian chant is taken up and modified by the computer using a fractal-based melody generator. The violinist then responds to these variations with his own invention and the feedback process continues.
